To the Parent of a Struggling Reader,

If I had to guess how you are feeling, I would say you are overwhelmed, worried, and heavy-hearted. You might even be frustrated because you know your child is smart. We know that too. I would even guess that your child is creative, a problem solver, inquisitive, and thoughtful. Struggling readers are incredibly common.  You and your child are in good company.

You are taking the first step with research. Celebrate that step. You are becoming a champion and advocate. One day soon, you will realize you are part of a community. Parents, advocates, and educators, are carrying the load with you.

As you walk this path, your child will be watching. They learn strength, grace, and determination from you. They are thinking, show me the way. Remember they want to read, learn, and succeed.

Focus on your child’s talents and passions. Capitalize on strengths and keep joy in life. Sooner than you think, your child will be walking across the stage with their diploma.

If you let us, we would be honored to be a part of your community.

Let’s join you on your path to literacy.
